CLASH BETWEEN THE BATOKO AND GBADAMASSI CLANS: Parakou Doesn’t Need This
Everything started with an interview of the honorable Rachidi Gbadamassi on a digital television channel. His statements against Ousmane Batoko were seen as « an unacceptable drift » by the youth collective of Parakou.
Shortly after, the Youth of the Movement Engaged for the Interests of the City of Parakou (EIVP) reacted by publicly disavowing Ousmane Batoko’s « political maneuvers » and firmly supporting Rachidi Gbadamassi’s political action in Parakou.
For the youth of the EIVP, the youth collective of Parakou is allegedly being manipulated.
But whether they are from the Batoko or Gbadamassi clan, the essential thing for Parakou is the unity of its sons and daughters to foster its development. The problems are numerous: degraded roads, difficult study conditions for students, malfunctioning streetlights and traffic lights…
Although freedom of expression is guaranteed in Benin, it is urgent, in the name of unity and the development of Parakou, that the city’s political leaders find common ground.
