HEALTH: ANGINA : A pernicious disease about suffering

Angina pectoris, or angina, refers to chest pain that usually appears during effort or stress. It most often occurs in patients with coronary artery disease. Its appearance is favored by cardiovascular risk factors.

It is a constrictive pain, that is to say that the patient has the impression that his chest is taken in a vice. Sometimes the pain is felt in the stomach. Angina pectoris results in pain behind the breastbone, in the center of the chest.

It can radiate along the left arm, but also in the back, on the sides, at the top of the stomach, in the right arm, the nape of the neck, the jaw or even the teeth. The pain evokes a feeling of tightness.

It is generally more intense when the physical exertion that causes it is associated with eating a meal, exposure to cold or wind, or psychological stress. When the effort stops, the pain subsides in a few minutes.

Prevention includes a doctor-supervised exercise program, quitting smoking, and eating a balanced diet. You should also eat soft or liquid foods. It will be easier to eat. Herbal teas, with thyme and honey, or even lemon can also help, provided they are lukewarm. Gargle with salt water to cure angina naturally. Because the pain caused by angina can interfere with certain daily activities and require rest.

But the most serious complication is of course heart attack or myocardial infarction, with a risk of sudden death.
