The zonal qualifiers for the third edition of the CAF African School Football Championship will kick off on November 20th in Niamey (Niger). Over 5 days of competition, the Beninese school selections, the Cheetahs (boys) and the Amazons (girls) will try to secure their ticket for the final phase.

Following the draw conducted on Wednesday, October 30th in Lomé, Niger will host the competitions of the West African Football Union (UFOA B) from November 20th to 24th, 2024. Six nations, in both the men’s and women’s categories, will compete to determine the winners and qualifiers for the continental final phase of the CAF Schools Championship scheduled for 2025.

Placed in Group B, both for the boys and girls, the Cheetahs and Amazons will have to face Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria starting on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024. As the two-time defending champions in the boys’ category, Benin has the ambition to retain its crown. The Ministry of Sports, through the Beninese Office of School Sports, has put all the necessary means in place for optimal preparation.

Since the groups are identical for both the men’s and women’s divisions, the competition will offer a similar configuration for both categories.
