ELECTRICITY SUPPLY: Disruptions Announced in Several Southern Neighborhoods
Users of the Benin Electricity Company (SBEE) residing in certain localities in southern Benin should make alternative arrangements. In an official statement released on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the Deputy Technical Directorate for the Grand Nokoué-Extension network announced scheduled power outages for Thursday, July 2, 2026.
According to the official statement signed by the Cotonou East PO Maintenance Technical Manager, Arsène Bessah, the disruptions will occur in the late morning, specifically from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The areas directly impacted by these maintenance works are:
Yagbè
Avotro
Tchaounkpamè
… and their surrounding neighborhoods.
The SBEE technical department wishes to inform affected residents that the indicated times (power outage and restoration) may be slightly delayed depending on technical requirements on the ground.
