TRAGEDY IN GODOMEY: Human Skull Seized and Two Arrests
The Godomey police station intercepted a human skull hidden in a tricycle on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Two suspects were arrested during this operation related to an alleged human bone trafficking ring.
Alerted by a tip about the delivery of a suspicious package, police officers followed the vehicle. The interception took place at the Hèvié Liclan intersection. Upon searching the tricycle, officers discovered a human skull hidden at the bottom of a cardboard box. The two occupants, S. D. and A. J., were immediately arrested.
During their detention, the two men claimed they had been paid by a client to deliver what they believed to be simple cans of paint. They maintain their complete ignorance regarding the actual contents of the box.
A judicial investigation is underway to identify the origin of these human remains, verify the suspects’ accounts, and dismantle the network behind this trafficking.
