VAP’ART FESTIVAL OF AFRICA (3RD EDITION): The final list of Amazon Photographers is expected after a rigorous pre-selection process
The suspense is palpable for the candidates of the third edition of VAP’ART of Africa (The Village of Amazon Photographers of Africa). Following the close of the application phase, the organizers confirm that the review and pre-selection of the works have been successfully completed. This technical step, now accomplished, guarantees that the schedule for this major pan-African artistic event will be perfectly adhered to.
In accordance with the official program, the final list of photographers selected for the final phase will be published very soon. The organizing team invites all applicants to stay connected and tune in for the grand reveal of the results.
Led by its founder, Osée Adamassou, VAP’ART has established itself as an essential platform for promoting female visual creativity on the continent. This unique festival brings together professional and amateur women photographers from several African countries (including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Togo, Haiti, Senegal, and other new countries to be added this year).
The event is more than just an exhibition. It features a packed program including masterclasses, workshops, cultural excursions, and much more. The highlight of this major photography event is the prestigious awards ceremony, culminating in the crowning of the « Golden Queen, » which recognizes the talent, skill, and commitment of a female photographer from the continent.
Following the success of previous editions, particularly the one held at the French Institute in Parakou, Benin, this third edition promises to be thrilling. It will once again highlight the power of women’s perspectives on contemporary realities. « Planet Earth is dying. »
